Where to stay in Cape Coral: a neighborhood guide
Cape Coral is big - 120 square miles and 400+ miles of canals - so where you stay shapes your trip. Here's how the areas differ, with our homes placed in the right one so you can pick by what matters to you: boating, beaches, quiet, or being close to town.
Southwest Cape Coral (33914)
The Gulf-access sailboat-canal side - deep, mostly no-bridge canals that boaters prize, close to Tarpon Point and Cape Harbour dining. Great for boating and quick Gulf runs.
Southeast Cape Coral (33990)
East-side canals and quiet residential streets - relaxed, close to shopping and the Midpoint bridge to Fort Myers. A calm home base near the water.
South Cape Coral, near the river (33904)
The older south end near the Caloosahatchee River and the bridges - minutes to downtown Cape Coral, dining, and quick access toward Fort Myers and the Gulf.
Northeast Cape Coral (33909)
Cape Coral's quieter, newer northeast - freshwater canals and space, an easy drive to everything.
Prefer the beach?
Our two Fort Myers Beach homes put you minutes from the Gulf sand instead of the canals - a great pair with a Cape Coral pool home nearby.
